Lexabean will provide you a setup.exe program that will automatically install the videos directly on your Pocket PC. This installation package will greatly simplify the installation and is usually provided separately from our software (as it is large).

  1. Before Starting:

    • Ensure your Pocket PC is in its cradle and properly connected to your desktop

    •  Ensure your Pocket PC has a Memory Expansion card with at least 256 MB of free space and the card is inserted into the Pocket PC.

    • Ensure you have installed the latest version of the Lexabean software using the following steps.

    • The Microsoft ActiveSync user interface should be running on your desktop. When the main display shows you are connected to your Pocket PC (the display changes to Connected from Not connected). That dialog should look like the one below:

  2. Invoke the video setup.exe provided by Lexabean. Note that this is a separate setup.exe from the one that is used to install your software.

     

  3. You will proceed through a series of prompts that will extract the videos from the package. When you come to the following dialog, click on the Finish button.

     

  4. After clicking on the Finish button, the following Microsoft ActiveSync dialog will automatically start up. In response to this dialog, select the NO button.

     

  5. The following dialog will come up. Change the pull down from Main Memory to Storage Card and then hit the OK button.

     

  6. The following status bar will appear. The videos will now be copied to your Pocket PC storage card. This may take a few minutes.

     

  7. When this has completed, the following dialog will appear.

     

  8. If you see an error dialog indicating the install has failed, check the SD Expansion card on your PDA for a file called Lexabean_video_install_wm50.CAB or video_install_wm50.CAB (the name differs based on the release of software). Tapping on this file will complete the install. Otherwise, Click on the OK button - and check your Pocket PC. The videos should self-install onto your Pocket PC video card.
