About the Management Team

Rich Pollner: President and Co-Founder

Rich Pollner has a Masters of Science (Computer Science) from an Ivy League school (the University of Pennsylvania) and has over 20 years of professional management and software development experience. This includes more than 10 years as a senior manager in the Financial Services industry responsible for leading a group of 25+ managers and developers responsible for building complex Risk Management and Trading systems. Rich also worked for 12 years as a developer at Bell Labs - the Research & Development wing of AT&T.

Rich has been involved in the fitness community for quite some time. Our fitness software has been written up in a number of magazines, including Fitness Magazine & Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine. He has also written several articles on technology for a number of Fitness magazines, including the Running Times.

Rich has completed 10 marathons and has qualified for (and raced in) the Boston Marathon 4 times. He has been trained by some of the best coaches in the field, including:

  •  Bob and Shelly Glover - head coach’s of the NY Road Runners Club (which has 30,000 members) and co-authors of several national best-sellers, including The Runner's Handbook and The Competitive Runner's Handbook. Rich was also a member of their Racing Team - The Greater New York Racing Team.
  • Lisa Smith Batchen  -   Stories about Lisa's running & coaching athletic achievements have appeared on the covers of The NY Times, The LA Times & The Washington Post. She has also appeared in  numerous other national and international publications. Television coverage on Lisa includes segments on ESPN, Discovery Channel, ABC’s Wide World of Sports. Her many accomplishments include winning the Badwater Ultra Marathon and Marathon des Sables Ultra Marathon two times each; 5 Hawaii Ironman Triathlon championships and the World Duathlon Championships.
